Rick's Rides - 1969 Dart Swinger 340

This Dart Swinger is a neat, minimally optioned car. It is an all numbers matching 340 4-speed, with manual brakes, manual steering, AM radio, no drip rail trim, and no vinyl top. It is R4 red with a black interior and stripe. This is sentimental for Rick; his first car was a 71 Dart and he has owned several other A-bodies over the years.

A friend rescued the car from becoming a parts car. It was found outside behind a barn where it had sat for many years. The front frame rails and torsion bar crossmember were very rusty. This is why the entire front frame stub was replaced. The original radiator saddle was saved with its VIN numbers intact. Rick was also able to save the trunk floor and the rear floors. The front floors, outer wheelhouses, and quarter panels have been replaced.

The present plans are for a basically stock restoration, or possibly a F.A.S.T. racing spec car.
