Here's a few shots of a 'Cuda fender with a front edge that was rolled & snipped for tire clearance and how I repaired it.
Here's what I started with:
Here's a section from a parts fender used to make a repair panel:
After trimming the damaged area, the repair section was held in place and scribed for a cut line:
Here's the trimmed replacement section clamped in place:
Tack welded in place:
TIG welded butt joint. Tack welds were first ground down flush.
The TIG weld will allow the joint to be ground down fully and metalfinished with no risk of cracking.:
