Details 

10-24 threaded steel insert as used to fasten door mirror and rear window louvers.

Requires use of a threaded insert installation tool. A low-buck alternative is to use a 10-24 hex headed screw with a flat washer and a hex nut. The screw is threaded into the insert with the hex nut threaded on the screw. While holding the screw to prevent it from turning, the hex nut is tightened to compress the threaded insert. The insert must be held tightly to the sheetmetal as the nut is tightened.

This is an ideal product for those wanting a durable finish that can be wiped clean and not hold dirt like the real thing. Dries to a satin gloss. Darkness & coloring will vary with number of coats applied and color of control arm. Thin with a urethane reducer, no hardener required. Sold in a half pint can for use with a spray gun. One can will easily do two sets of control arms, depending on application thickness. Can also be used to accentuate the coloring of some cast iron parts.

Service consists of welding closed and sanding flat the undesired date code, and stamping new date codes with the correct size characters. Repairs such as valve stem hole damage, lug hole repairs, and rim damage are available at additional cost. 29444450 stamping available.

Pricing (per wheel):

$25- weld closed, grind & stamp numbers. (can be less depending on number of changes, etc.)

$15- stamp "H"

$8- add bumps on outer hoop by valve stem hole.

$30- add '69 H-wheel dimples.
